In the crowded child care space, DayTimers needed an online presence that was light and fun with an emphasis on learning through constructive play.
We worked with the DayTimers team to identify their unique attributes as educational, intuitive, and vibrant. These attributes were frequently reviewed during the entire building process to make sure brand strategy is always at the forefront of decisions.
From the very first design round, the team latched onto a custom, script-based logotype. Balancing fluidity with legibility, the logo was inspired by the idea of flow state — a place of focus where distractions are silenced and child development can flourish.
For the rebrand, we wanted the color palette to amplify the perceived energy that DayTimers brings everyday.
Energetic, edgy, and bold, this palette is full of retina rockers ready for any opportunity to shine.
For DayTimers, we defined two distinct photography styles: fun and educational. We wanted to complement the core color palette by having something that felt fun and inviting with authentic expressions and natural backgrounds.
A secondary style leans on education and portrays a glimpse into a day at DayTimers. This tone comes to life through a teachers point-of-view and overhead shots of students. It’s a little tough, a little poetic, and altogether authentic and unique.
